RENTAL LICENSE
The lessee of a fishing right can buy a license using the farm code in the lease agreement.
If you are aged between 18 and 69 and fish with a single rod and lure or a fishing rod and reel, you must pay the fishing fee.
An exception is made for fishermen who have reached the age of 65 by 31 December 2023.

Validity
The fishing permit for other species is valid for a period of 24 hours from 19:00 (18:00) to 19:00 (18:00) Finnish time, except for the closed season, which starts every Sunday at 19:00 and ends on Monday at 19:00. When fishing in the tributary estuaries, the closed areas must be taken into account.
SPECIAL QUOTA
A special quota has been set aside in fishing permits for Teno fishing right owners/holders. The special fishing permit quota must be reserved by 15 July at 15.00 or, if the day in question is a Saturday or Sunday, by 15.00 on the Friday preceding the day in question. After this date, any permits not reserved under the special fishing permit quota will be released for use under the tourist fishing permit quota (subject to change). The number of permits available will be updated in the online shop. Cancelled permits will also revert back to the quota.
How to purchase
Teno fishing permits are divided in half between Finland and Norway, and through this site you can buy Finnish permits. If you wish, you can also buy licences from the Norwegian online shop. When buying a permit, please note where the permit entitles you to fish.
TENO PERMIT PRICES
- Permanent resident of the Teno River with a fishing permit €40 per season, free of charge for under 18s.
- Permanent resident on the Teno River 150 €/season, but free of charge for under 18s.
- Special fishing permit for other species in the special fishing permit quota €5 per day, up to a maximum total of €40 per fishing season.
- Fishing permits for other species €20/day, but under 18s are charged €10/day.
- All categories of fishing permits may be accompanied by one or more child permits. Children under 16 years of age may fish with fly and coho.
- Finland’s share of Other species fishing permits is 6,000 fishing days.
