You also have to pay a fishing fee if you are aged between 18 and 69 and fish with rod and lure/fly or gillnets. Except for fishermen who will reach the age of 65 by 31.12.2023, who are exempt from the management fee.

This permit may be purchased by permanent residents of the Teno River basin who hold fishing rights. Local residents who have leased fishing rights from another local resident may also purchase this permit.

A person is considered a permanent resident of the river valleys of the Teno River watershed if whose municipality of residence on the last day of the calendar year preceding the fishing season was Utsjoki or Inari and who has actually resided along the river valleys of the Teno River system for at least seven months during the year preceding the fishing season.

The permit is valid for the entire fishing season.

  • The permit entitles the person named on it to participate in the fishing with the holder of a general local permit.
  • The participation permit does not entitle you to fish independently.
